Rep. Anderson Votes Yes on $300 Million Small Business Relief Package

JACKSON, MS– Mississippi Representative Jeramey Anderson issues the following statement following tonight’s vote on the $300 million small business relief bill.

“Small businesses are the backbone and the driving force of our economy. Many businesses around our state have suffered financial hardships due to COVID19. The passage of SB 2772 provides immediate relief to our small business in Mississippi. I understand that our efforts to recover and restore our economy cannot stop with our vote tonight. As we continue to work on relief efforts we must remember all those affected: the first responders, the front line workers at stores and essential industries, the people suddenly unemployed, the teachers who don't know if they'll be in the classroom next year, and the parents who struggle to get to work and make sure they're children are cared for and safe. I look forward to continuing our work for all Mississippians. Together we will win this fight.”
